In this episode of the JP2 Morning Crew Podcast, Father Anthony Saroki is both the guest and co-host. The show begins with a short prayer about the importance of family in our lives. Father Saroki talks about his own family and his wonderful siblings who are all practicing their faith. He shares about his sister Karen, who is a family doctor and works for the Culture of Life Family Services, providing free medical care for women in crisis pregnancy.

Father Saroki also discusses his sister Stephanie, who founded a non-profit organization called Seaton Education Partners that focuses on providing Catholic formation education for children in inner cities. He also talks about his parish family, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Rancho Penasquitos, CA, which is about half Filipino and has around 2900 families, many of which are young and have children. The episode concludes with the Catholic Challenge quiz, which Father Saroki answers correctly.

Later in the episode, Father Anthony Saroki interviews Sarah Harold, a leader of a parish homeschooling group, about homeschooling. Sarah shares that she and her husband started homeschooling when their oldest child was five years old by default, as they had missed the deadline for enrolling in kindergarten. With eight children now, Sarah is fully committed to homeschooling. She discusses the resources available for homeschooling, including free resources and boxed curriculum that lay out daily lesson plans. Sarah highlights the advantages of homeschooling, which include the ability to adapt the curriculum to each child’s needs and pace and the flexibility to drop or accentuate certain subjects based on their interests.
