We base our core values on John Paul the Great’s challenge to the laity
In his homily on November 26, 2000, at the Jubilee of the Apostolate of the Laity. He proclaimed: “Dear friends, do not be afraid to take up this challenge: be holy men and women! Do not forget that the fruits of the apostolate depend on the depth of spiritual life, on the intensity of prayer, on continual formation and on sincere adherence to the Church’s directives. Today I repeat to you, as I did to the young people during the recent World Youth Day, that if you are what you should be – that is, if you live Christianity without compromise – you will set the world ablaze.”
We fully intend to answer St. John Paul II’s call to live our Christian faith without compromise. The fruits of our efforts depend entirely upon these core values:
We believe that a person’s spiritual life needs nourishment and care to grow. We will provide spiritual food for our listeners in the form of Catholic programming, events, and information on-air and online.
We believe that prayer is the foundation of any successful effort. We invite you to pray with us and for us. We will fervently pray for your needs and the needs of the Holy Roman Church. Please visit our Pray With Us page to submit prayer requests, post favorite prayers, and join us in asking for the intercession of John Paul the Great.
We believe proper Catechesis is the foundation of evangelization and the life of the Church. We will provide Catholic programming as a source of catechetical formation and education.
We believe the Catholic Church is the bearer and protector of truth. As such, we will remain absolutely and authentically Catholic, on-air and online, following the teachings of the Magisterium, the Catechism, and the Vicar of Christ on earth.
We believe that we are called to spread the Good News and we intend to set the Imperial Valley ablaze with the fire of Christ. We will promote the faith through our programming. We will advertise local and national Catholic events and we will support Catholic organizations.
