Saint Joseph played one of the most important roles in salvation history: the husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary, adoptive father of Jesus, and guardian of the Holy Family.
Just as Saint Joseph cared for and protected the Christ Child, he also intercedes, protects, and accompanies us on our journeys toward Jesus.
Among private revelations, there are several stories of apparitions of Saint Joseph to different saints, always helping them fulfill God’s will.
In Saint Faustina Kowlaska’s diary, Divine Mercy in My Soul, the saint recounts a vision of Saint Joseph, the foster father of Jesus, and his special prayer request for each day.
The apparition of Saint Joseph to Saint Faustina and the prayer he asked her to recite every dayIn 1937, Saint Faustina recounted the following:“Saint Joseph urged me to have constant devotion to him. He himself told me to recite three prayers daily [the Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be] and the Memorare once every day. He looked at me with great kindness and gave me to know how much he is supporting this work [of mercy]. He promised me this special help and protection.
