FR. ENRIQUE SERA PASSED away on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at the age of 73. His funeral Mass was celebrated on Oct. 4 at Christ Cathedral with numerous friends and family in attendance. The first priest ordained for the Diocese of Orange, Fr. Sera spent 44 years in ministry before retiring in 2022. He leaves a lasting legacy of faith, love and service.

“We ask that the Lord guide us to always be faithful, to be able to carry out the word not merely in preaching, but in actions in the world. Our Lord says…that we have a commandment to love one another, and that truly is the most important thing we can do if we are going to be followers of the Lord. We hope You will reward us with all the blessings that come after death for those who have been faithful to him…I hope to meet the great apostle Matthias, the quiet apostle Matthias, that we so know so little about other than he was faithful…that’s what we have to show for our lives
