In a meeting with Emeritus Pope Benedict, Pope Francis was given files about Vatican corruption. In his new autobiography, Hope, it’s clear the pope has not attacked the sources of corruption that Benedict directed him to – and that were among the reasons for his resignation. Someday, a new Roman Pontiff will be elected, and among his top priorities should be a determined search to find and read that dossier (if it has not already been destroyed).
