In May of 2024, on the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, Pope Francis officially introduced the Ordinary Jubilee of 2025 with the reading and delivery of Spes Non Confundit.

The papal document laid the foundation for the 2025 Jubilee and its theme: “Pilgrims of Hope.”

The Jubilee Year 2025 marks the 2,025th anniversary of the Incarnation of our Lord. During this time, we are given unique opportunities to receive special graces.

A Jubilee Indulgence may be obtained by performing a work of mercy and penance and making a pious pilgrimage to a sacred Jubilee site. This could include those designated in Rome and the Holy Land and other sacred places worldwide, including any Marian sanctuary, national sanctuary, or minor basilica.

While an overseas pilgrimage seems ideal, we actually have many holy sites right here in the United States—perhaps even in your own town.

Road trip, anyone?
