Below is a simple guide for how to gain a plenary indulgence during the Paschal Triduum. What is a plenary indulgence?

According to the Manual of Indulgences,

A plenary indulgence is the total remission “before God of the temporal punishment for sins, whose guilt is forgiven” and can be earned for oneself or for a deceased relative in purgatory.One may earn a plenary indulgence during the Paschal Triduum by carrying out any of the following:How to obtain a plenary indulgence on Holy Thursday

According to the Manual of Indulgences, one may adore the blessed Sacrament for at least 30 minutes or “piously recite the verses of the Tantum ergo after the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday during the solemn reposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament.”
