Pentecost Mass for All Peoples in San Diego

Loading Events

The cultural communities in the San Diego Diocese gather as one to celebrate our Catholic faith in the diocese’s annual Pentecost Mass for All Peoples!

It all begins with a Call to Worship at 10am, featuring traditional music from around the world. A few minutes before 11am, representatives of each community enter the Cathedral Catholic High School’s gym, holding a traditional cloth that will be placed at the altar.

Cardinal McElroy will celebrate the Pentecost Mass at 11am, accompanied by the diocese’s three auxiliary bishops. The Mass features readings and prayers in multiple languages, sharing the universality of our faith.

Afterward, around 12:30pm, there will be a festival featuring exhibits from the cultural communities, samples of their traditional foods, and musical performances.

All faithful are invited to experience our Universal Church in this beautiful celebration perfect for the entire family.
