All are welcome to join us celebrating the Feast of San Nazareno on Thursday, Jan. 9, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (OLMC) in San Diego. There will be a procession at 9:30am followed by Mass at 10am, and a reception afterwards in the OLMC parish hall.
The Feast of the Black Nazarene (Filipino: Pista ng Itím na Nazareno), also known as the Traslación after the procession associated with the feast, is a festival held in Manila, Philippines, that is centered around the Black Nazarene wooden carving of Jesus carrying the cross. It is celebrated annually on Jan. 9.
