The Diocesan Commission for Filipino Catholics and the St. Charles Parish’s Filipino community are hosting the 35th annual diocesan celebration of the Feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino saint and martyr, on Saturday, Sept. 10.
Procession of the San Lorenzo statue is to begin at 9am. A rosary in the church will be at 9:30am. A welcome by Father Emilio Magaña, the pastor at the parish, will be at 9:50am. The Mass is to begin at 10am. Cardinal Robert McElroy will celebrate the Mass, days after being elevated to Cardinal by Pope Francis at the Vatican.
