He’s a Christian Indiana Jones of sorts, trekking to far-flung lands in search of history — while driving an array of vehicles (his vintage Jeep is on display at the Museum of the Bible, by the way).
Dave Stotts has been discovering fascinating facts for his long-running Drive Thru History show — and now he’s adding Catholic insights as an EWTN host for EWTN Studios’ The Road Less Traveled: Türkiye, which premieres Sept. 17 on EWTN+ and EWTN.com.
Stotts reflected on being a “history hunter” as well as his Catholic conversion with Father Mitch Pacwa on the Sept. 9 episode of EWTN Live.

History is not boring, Stotts said.
“History is filled with miracles, martyrs, saints and larger-than-life stories,” he added, underscoring, “The Bible is history.”
“Viewers can be inspired by the courage and witness of our older brothers and sisters in the faith.”
He then delved into the first stop on his EWTN travel-show itinerary: “Antioch was the first frontier of the spread of Christianity.”
