Outstanding players on teams in the college football playoff have made clear that the glory of a national championship comes second to their faith in Jesus. “First and foremost, I’ve got to thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ for giving me this opportunity to be on this stage, here in the Rose Bowl,” Ohio State University quarterback Will Howard told the media after his team’s stunning upset win against No. 1 Oregon on January 1st. And after defeating the University of Georgia on January 2nd, Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard also said: “First and foremost I want to thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ.”
