A January 2021 Final Report of the Commission of Investigation into Mother and Baby Homes was released in Ireland, documenting the history of the institutions where unmarried mothers were sent with their babies. The report is 2,685 pages long, and none of its findings satisfied the many who were waiting for yet another denunciation of the Catholic Church in Ireland for all the ills of society. It is open season on the Church and no one has the temerity to defend it.
