All are welcome to register here for our Diocese of San Diego 2023 Season of Creation/Peace & Justice Mass. This year’s bilingual service will be held at St. James Parish in Solana Beach on September 24.
Join us at 11am for a musical prelude before our liturgy begins at 11:30am.
Children are invited to participate in our opening procession, but must be present by 11am to receive instructions.
If your family, parish or school has created a Laudato Si’ Action Plan, please bring a copy rolled up as a scroll and tied with a string for presentation at the end of the Mass. Cardinal McElroy will bless these plans and those taking them for creation care action in the coming year. We will have string on hand!
To demonstrate our care of the poor, families are also asked to donate, if possible, non-perishable food items in support of the St. Leo Food Pantry. (Preferred items are bags of uncooked pinto beans, bags of uncooked white rice, cooking oil, cereal, and Hispanic pastas.)
Following our service, a small lunch reception will be held outside. Please bring reusable water bottles and hats to shade yourselves from the sun. Our event will conclude at 1:30pm.
