In the United States, May is Mental Health Month. To raise awareness, provide an educational opportunity, and ask for our Lord’s guidance and assistance in caring for our sisters and brothers who may be affected by mental health conditions, the Office of Family Life and Spirituality is hosting a Mental Health Awareness Mass with Bishop John Dolan
After the Mass, there will be a resource fair, and a short talk by a mother, Paula Baker, who will share her family’s journey from fear to hope with a loved one’s mental illness.
Everyone is invited to both of these events.
The diocese offers resources and support for individuals facing mental-health challenges and their caregivers.
