The Senate Finance Committee voted along party lines to send Robert F. Kennedy’s bid to lead the Department of Health and Human Services to the full chamber. Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La, who had expressed concerns about Kenedy’s view of vaccines, was the deciding vote for approval. Cassidy said he had “very intense conversations” with Kennedy and the White House over the weekend, specifically thanking Vice President J.D. Vance “for his honest counsel.”
