Father David Michael Moses, a popular Catholic influencer, performer, and pastor in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, revealed why he does not regret becoming a priest at a young age.

Father David Michael entered the seminary at the age of 18 and was ordained to the priesthood at the age of 25.

In a video published on Instagram, he responds to a common question he receives:

“Do I regret becoming a priest so young?”

“I was 25 when I got ordained, and at the time, I was the youngest priest in the diocese,” Father David Michael begins. “When I entered seminary at 18, people said, ‘Why not wait and enjoy your life a little first? You can always be a priest later.’”

Father David Michael explains that when you really love someone, “you’re willing to sacrifice everything that could be to be with them now because they’re enough.”

“Even at 18, Jesus was enough for me,” he said. “I’m so glad I was called young that I had the chance to forsake all I could have been in the world and bet everything on Christ.”Father David Michael concludes his video rapping these lyrics:“The world offers money, the world offers fun,“But there ain’t nothin’ like gettin’ called young.”Here
